Alexey Viktorovich Kuzmichev

Alexey Viktorovich Kuzmichev is a prominent Russian businessman. He is one of the founders and controlling owners of an investment conglomerate – Alfa-Group (also known as LetterOne Group). Born in 1962 in Kirov, Russia, he served in the Soviet army on the Russian-Chinese border as a radio operator before he met his future business partners while studying in the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys.

Together, they have established one of the first and the most successful fully private business enterprises in Russia at the time of the Perestroika and the transformation of the USSR into the Commonwealth of Independent States. Mr Kuzmichev has always taken an active role in the business of the Group, specialising in international relationships and trade and he worked with partners and clients in Europe, the former Soviet Union republics, the USA, Venezuela, Nigeria, Iran and Iraq and other countries. Mr Kuzmichev has a keen interest in supporting international humanitarian and charitable endeavours, such as the Babylon Project and Project Perpetual, having raised and personally donated substantial funds for charitable causes.
